Every day we make choices and every choice we make, like it or not, we have to be accountable for. Much like the word "consequence," the word "accountability" has an unnecessary negative connotation to it. It is not inherently bad to be accountable for something. We look into what makes this concept so important in God's plan. It is woven in tightly with agency, one cannot exist without the other. We will have to be held accountable for how we used the agency given to us when it is finally time to stand before Christ for judgement.

Articles of Faith #2
We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
#13
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
